It has been a family tradition since I was a child to make Pecan Sticky Buns on Christmas morning. They are super easy to make, by either the cheat method or to downright make them from Scratch. If your anything like me though, I don't have the time or patience to make anything completely from scratch, so I am going to show you the easiest way in the world to make Pecan Sticky Buns for a Christmas Morning Breakfast Treat!
There are four of us for Breakfast, so I make 8 Total buns.
To do this Grab 2 Cans of Grands Cinnamon Rolls, you can make a total of 10 by using this.
Pecan Sticky Sauce
2 cups raw pecan pieces (Chopped)
1/2 cup whole milk
2/3 cup real maple syrup
1/2 cup packed light or dark brown sugar
12 tablespoons salted butter
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
4 tablespoons salted butter
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper, and spread raw pecan chopped pieces onto the bottom of the baking dish. In a medium sauce pot, combine the milk, maple syrup, 1/4 cup brown sugar and butter. Cook over medium heat until butter is melted and sauce is bubbling, around 8-10 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Pour sauce over pecans.
In a small bowl, mix together the remaining 1/4 cup brown sugar and the cinnamon, then Set aside.
Place rolls in the baking dish, right onto the sticky pecan sauce. Dust with the Brown Sugar and Cinnamon mixture, then....
Bake 20-25 minutes, until golden brown on top. If the rolls are browning too quickly on top, cover them with foil halfway through cooking.
Let the rolls sit 5 minutes and then carefully invert the rolls onto a serving plate. Serve warm.
I Hope you try these and love them so much they become a part of your family Christmas Tradition as well.
